Jennifer Melendez – General Manager
Health and Fitness has taken a very important role in my life. Being a mother of four, my health always came second. I always made sure the needs of my children were met before any of my needs. It wasn’t till 2016 when I realized that my health was in dire need of some TLC. I became a Primal Fit Miami member with no real expectations of achieving any of my goals. I simply thought they were not possible or reachable. But in just a few short weeks of working with all the amazing trainers, I realized that my goals were not only reachable, but that I can supersede them! I fell in love with fitness, and the energy that surrounded it. I wanted to learn more, and I knew Primal Fit was where I needed to be to gain that knowledge. I look forward to helping others attain their goals and become the best version of themselves!achieve.
Andrew Grifol – Assistant Manager
Becoming a fitness professional was not my original path in life. My dream was to become a professional baseball player. Due to an injury while playing pro ball, I was forced to come back home to rehabilitate. It was then that I discovered a love for personal training. My goal is to pass on my knowledge and passion for physical fitness on to my clients to help them become the best and healthiest they can be…while having fun.
Francheska Martinez – Coach
Exercising has always been a passion of mine. Growing up, I was always aware of my health. I strived to make sure my family made healthy choices, and I made sure their well-being was always a priority. Fitness was second nature to me, so it was only right for me to choose this career path. As a personal trainer, I find great fulfillment in helping others achieve their goals. I want to work towards motivating my clients to be the best version of themselves. I aim to facilitate a warm environment, teach behavior change methods, guide clients toward injury prevention, and maximize optimal health and fitness so my clients could have the best personal training experience possible. My ultimate goal is to open the first gymnastic strength training center in Miami.
Michael Michel – Coach
I am a functional fitness specialist who works with a cross section of different clients. I am able to personalize their training program to help meet a widely divergent variety of needs, with the understanding that “function” means different things to different people. As a functional fitness specialist, I am on top of the most important fitness topics in our industry. I artfully combine exercise programs with education and recommendations for sustainable lifestyle changes.
Mark Arrazola Coach
Ever since I picked up a barbell I have loved fitness and the positive effects it has not only on the body, but on the mind as well. As an ISSA-certified personal trainer, my goal is to teach people the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle in an effort to improve their quality of life as well as giving them a rewarding experience that they can share with others. My confidence and determination to reach my goals is a direct attribute that I obtained from my family. They are very supportive of my goals and dreams and I would not be where I am today without their love and support.I believe that without a purpose in life, there is no reason to exist. I believe that I have found my purpose in the health and fitness industry and I hope to carry on a long and fulfilling career. Here at Primal Fit Miami, we are not trainers, but coaches dedicated to changing lives and I am proud to be part of something so special. When it is all said and done and the dust clears, I hope to leave behind a legacy and footprints for others so they may learn and grow. To help others to become the strongest versions of themselves in an effort to lead a healthy, but most importantly, a happy life is what all should hope to achieve.
Jonerik Murphy – Director of Tweenfit
Jonerik Murphy created JEMKIDS to empower youth to build healthier, stronger bodies. As a lifelong athlete, his philosophy is: “Being active is the key to being healthy.” Jonerik’s experience includes being a college baseball player, 15+ years as a high school football/softball coach as well as more than 20 years in the fitness industry.
His passion for working with youth led him to become certified with the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) as a Level 2 Youth Fitness Specialist.Jonerik utilizes all of his experience to develop programs that are age-appropriate for the developmental stages children pass through as they mature. The programs are designed to improve motor skills, enhance coordination, strengthen postural as well as core muscles and more.
The activities are fun and challenging which
engage the children mentally as well as physically. While creating challenging programs is important, understanding that not all children learn in the same way is more important. Youth fitness is not about creating better athletes. It is about children developing positive, healthy habits that have benefits from physical (stronger, healthier) to mental (higher self-esteem). Creating a healthy lifestyle starts early. It is our responsibility to give our youth the tools they need to be successful.
